Having an active social life and being involved within the local community is an important aspect of everyday life; it promotes life skills, prevents isolation and is vital to ensure wellbeing. New Outlook can provide emotional and physical support to service users to access a range of activities in their local community.
The scheme has extensive links with clubs, activities and support services, plus local public transport. The activities vary from escorting people to social groups, leisure activities, a visit to the pub, cinema or concert, IT training, employment and volunteering.
Our community services can offer a great opportunity for adults to try out new activities surrounded by supportive and experienced staff. Individual person-centred care is provided to encourage service users to develop their social and life skills to achieve their own maximum potential.
This support can be provided through the use of support staff within residential homes or through our Home Heroes service.
