New Oaks

The home is decorated to reflect the interests of the resident group and incorporates sensory furnishings, aids and adaptations. The accommodation provides a warm, homely environment to meet the needs and wishes of younger adults with severe/profound learning disabilities and complex needs.

The Service

Following referral to the service we will arrange for a person centred assessment based on you individual needs, wishes and aspirations and assess the level of care and support needed. We will then liaise with funding agencies, usually joint commissioning, to assess fees based on assessed weekly hours of care, in addition to any extra funding required for specific activity provision or rehabilitation. . New Oaks also accepts short term placements where perhaps people need to use our rehabilitation services to return to, or move onto, more independent living following a person centred transition plan or respite care.

Prior to admission, people being referred to New Oaks are encouraged to visit the home and participate in activities and meals, to meet other residents and staff. Short stays and overnight stays can also be arranged.
